Pomodoro Timer

Are you ready to supercharge your productivity with PomodoRoll's Pomodoro Timer? Discover the power of focused work sessions and efficient breaks. Let's delve into the essentials:

What is Pomodoro?

Pomodoro is a time management technique that offers flexibility to suit your work style. In its classic form, it involves breaking your work into focused intervals, typically 25 minutes each, followed by short breaks. This approach is known as the 25/5 rule and is designed to boost productivity and help you stay concentrated on your tasks.

At PomodoRoll, we understand that one size doesn't fit all. That's why we provide several common Pomodoro time settings, including 40/5, 50/10, 52/17, and90/20. Each setting allows you to tailor your work sessions to your preferences, whether you need longer periods of focused work or shorter breaks between sessions.

If you have specific time preferences, don't worry. We also offer full customization in the settings. You can set your ideal Pomodoro duration and break length, ensuring that your work routine aligns perfectly with your needs and productivity goals.

Starting a Pomodoro Session

Getting started with a Pomodoro session in PomodoRoll is a breeze, and it's not just about work—your well-being is our priority.

Simply click the Start button, and the timer will begin counting down. While you're immersed in your work, PomodoRoll has a special touch. When the timer ends, we'll suggest a quick office workout to boost your health.

After the workout, you can take a rejuvenating short break. Plus, every four Pomodoro sessions, we treat you to a longer break. We understand everyone's needs are different, so you can easily customize the number and duration of these breaks.

To make your experience even better, we offer two start buttons—one for sitting work and another for standing work. Now, you can effortlessly track your productive hours and make your health a priority in the friendliest way possible.

This feature helps you track your progress and accomplishments, making it easy to see how productive and focused you've been.

How we calculate streaks?

The streak increases by 1 upon completion of each Pomodoro session or exercise. We believe in promoting a healthy work-life balance and recognize the importance of stress-free weekends. Consequently, streaks remain uninterrupted during weekends. Should you take a break over the weekend, the streak continues seamlessly when you resume Pomodoro sessions or exercises afterward.

Webhook Integration

PomodoRoll allows you to integrate with Make, IFTTT, or Zapier to receive events triggered by PomodoRoll activities. This enables you to build your own workflow according to your needs. For example, you can configure an automation workflow to change the Slack status to 'Do Not Disturb' when you receive events from PomodoRoll.

Follow these steps to set up webhook integration:

Step 1: Obtain a webhook URL from Make, IFTTT, or Zapier.
Step 2: Copy and paste the obtained Webhook URL into the Webhook Configuration on the Profile Page.

Once you have obtained a webhook URL, you can paste it into the Webhook Configuration, as shown in the screenshot below:

You can also choose when to trigger the webhook by selecting the "Webhook Trigger Options".

There are 4 options available:

  • Pomodoro: Triggers the webhook when a Pomodoro timer starts, pauses, or ends.
  • Exercise: Triggers the webhook when an exercise timer starts, pauses, or ends.
  • Short Break: Triggers the webhook when a short break timer starts, pauses, or ends.
  • Long Break: Triggers the webhook when a long break timer starts, pauses, or ends.
Step 3: Customize the automation flow on Make/IFTTT/Zapier according to your needs.

For instance, we created a straightforward automation flow on Make to change the Slack personal status when the webhook receives events from PomodoRoll. The flow chart is provided below:
